Grant Assistance
How GrantPro™ Works:
Tell us About Your Switcher Fleet. Complete our 7-minute form with details about your current fleet & power system preferences. This helps us understand your needs and operational goals.
Tailored Consultation & Proposal. Next, we’ll contact you to gather a few additional details about each locomotive’s horsepower, operational requirements, and average fuel usage. Then we’ll arrange a call and an on-site meeting between our engineering teams to develop a tailored recommendation for the most efficient, cost-effective locomotive power system configurations. You’ll receive a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining:
- Recommended locomotives and notch schedules
- Emissions reduction & fuel savings projections
- Recommend refueling/recharging infrastructure enhancements, if any
- Total costs before grant offsets
- A list of recommended grant programs, submission deadlines, and estimated savings
Plan Optimization & Application Preparation. Together, we review and optimize your plan. Then, the GrantPro™ team prepares your grant applications and submits them in alignment with available grant windows.
Implementation & Contracting. If your grant is awarded, we support you throughout the contracting process – attending calls if needed and managing any adjustments during negotiations. Once you finalize your contract with the grantor, we execute a subcontract for our portion of the work.
Locomotive Build & Delivery. After all contracts are finalized, we begin building your locomotives. Expect delivery of your FRA concurrent locomotives within approximately 12 months from the final contracting date.
